I am a wildlife photographer based in southern Germany. I have been working in wildlife photography since 2017, with a long-standing focus on animals in their natural habitats rather than isolated close-ups. My work aims to portray wildlife as part of a broader ecological context, where landscape, light, and behavior together form the narrative of the image.
My photographic process is highly deliberate and research-driven. Before a shoot, I study species-specific behavior, habitat use, and flight or escape distances. Scouting plays a central role: I use binoculars during daylight and early morning hours to observe locations, identify patterns, and plan compositions long before a camera is involved. For particularly shy species, I work with techniques such as floating hides or long observation phases to minimize disturbance.
Ethical considerations are integral to my work. I avoid influencing animal behavior and prioritize distance, patience, and respect for natural boundaries. My environmental style allows me to document wildlife without intrusion, ensuring that the well-being of the animals always takes precedence over the image itself.
